Description
In 2005, the Child Fatality Prevention Act established the Child Fatality Prevention System (CFPS), a statewide, multidisciplinary, multi-agency effort to prevent child deaths. Child fatality reviews serve to understand child deaths in order to prevent the injury and death of other children in the future.
