This study was undertaken to develop recommendations for educator licensing in Colorado that will move the state toward its vision of an effective teacher in every classroom and an effective leader in every school, ensuring an excellent education for the children of Colorado.

This analysis is submitted to the State Board of Education in support of an increase in fees for educator licensure. A fee increase is a critical component to not only addressing the backlog currently pending, but also to resolving this issue and establishing an efficient, streamlined licensing process.
